Health Education Programs

The health education programs of BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas are disease-specific approaches to medical information and education, which are focused on our members and coordinated with local providers.

These programs are optional services, which your employer may choose to add to your health plan. Consult your benefit handbook to determine if your plan includes these programs:

• Cardiovascular Health Education Program: To help those diagnosed with both high blood pressure and high cholesterol in managing their illnesses.
  
  
• Diabetes Health Education Program (age 18 and up): To assist those who have diabetes in managing their disease.
  
  On The Level Youth Diabetes Program (birth to 17): Helps parents and children learn how to manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
  
  
• Low Back Pain Health Education Program: To assist those who are dealing with the effects of back pain.
  
  
• Respiratory Health Education Program: Prevention and self-management of respiratory illnesses for members and their families who are at greater risk for serious complications of a respiratory illness.
  
  
• Special Delivery: For expectant mothers.
  
  
• The Healthy Weigh! Education Program: To assist members with their weight-loss efforts by offering tips on eating healthy, exercise and losing weight.
